I know that I haven't had an update for a long time. But I really had to put this one up. Got teary eyed and was really inspired. I hope can lighten up your day too!
Come and Let's be Amazing!
A culmination of plain randomness. Food, stuff, food, other stuff, and food. Get it?

Cheesecake etc.
One of the places that I really wanted to try last year was Cheesecake etc. This is mostly because I fell in love with the first cake that I purchased from them.
Last year, I was able to get the chance to taste some of the stuff that they offered.
As a pasta lover, so I had to order one of their offered pasta dishes. I got their Seafood Pasta which I think was for me lacking in flavor. The noodles that they used were a bit overcooked.
The Ghirardelli Almond Roca was one of my favorites from the ones that I ordered. I especially liked the tall glass that it came with.
For dessert i got the apple pie which was a bit disappointing as it was more bread crumbish rather than pie-ish or maybe it's just a different type of pie that I'm not accustomed to. Anyways, I still finished the dish, and it was good in a healthy way.
All in all the meal was decent and it did fill me up. Thank God, I got the chance to eat there. Yum!

Want SPAM? Let's Jam!
![]() |
| SPAM JAM |
Who doesn't like SPAM? Well, except for vegans and pescetarians. I, as a proud carnivore loves SPAM too much that I could actually eat one whole can without any remorse after. But, of course that rarely happens nowadays due the fact that SPAM is not as cheap as Ma Ling or any of the other canned meat products in the market (simpleng tao lang po).
I first saw this SPAM JAM kiosk in MegaMall and got really curious about it. I've heard about the company but that was a long time ago. SO, curiosity killed me and went ahead and tried one of their dishes.
SPAM Jam only has three food choices on their menu: SPAM Musubi (flavored rice w/ SPAM wrapped with nori), SPAM Burger (SPAM inside bread with lettuce and mayo) and SPAM with Rice (SPAM with rice and fried egg). And they also have two drink selections of lemonade and iced tea.

I don't hate the idea of the SPAM kiosk but a little more creativity would've done the trick especially for the dishes. But, the good thing about the store is that it's quick and easy to get your food and it's cheap! So, this would really be something for those people who do not have much time to wait for and to those who just plain love SPAM and would like to get a taste of it while inside the mall. A quick fix nonetheless.

Take heed. The ants have invaded! A farewell to Picnik...
Coloring flowers...
Painting sky...
Fluffing clouds...
Growing grass...
These are just some of the catchphrases that you'll see when Picnik (http://www.picnik.com) is currently loading/saving a page/image. But, unfortunately Picnik will be closing down on April 19, 2012. And the world of online photo-editing is going to change forever.
| About Picnik.com |
I have been a fan of the service since about two years ago when a friend showed me how he edited pictures without Photoshop. And since then Picnik has been my answer during difficult times when I had to edit pictures using a PC/laptop that does not have Photoshop installed in them. It was a breeze to use the site, and the interface was made to look candid and cute so it made editing a really fun.

It has been great using Picnik and it will surely be missed. But, if I read it correctly, their services will be integrated with Google+, so I think there's still something to look forward to (I think) . Though I'll certainly miss the candid catchphrases while waiting for the pages to load.
They might be closing down but they certainly do know how to end things with a bang! According to the site, they will refund their Premium members the whole lot that they paid for their membership fee. No prorations whatsoever. And as an icing on the cake they have made all premium services FREE for all!
To the creators/founders of Picnik, I bow and salute you for being such geniuses and for sharing this fantastic work to us users and raving fans.
We will look forward to your next masterpiece and for a more candid and fun future!
Thank you Picnik, you will be missed but never forgotten.
XoXo

Carbonated Milk... Wait... What?
Yup, you read it right. Apparently there's carbonated milk that's available in the Philippines and where else can you find such a curious thing? 7-11 of course! And because of me being such a curious pig I immediately got a can and tried it out.
Coca-Cola actually had a similar product and some says that the company has had such drink since the 1990's. Coca Cola's brand for their carbonated milk drink is called Vio but I don't think it's available here in the Philippines.
The drink I got was from Lotte. The drink is called Milkis and comes in an aluminum can. This, as per my research has been available since 1989. I guess they only had it in Korea and since the hallyu fever has swept through Asia; Philippine branches of 7-11 convenience stores are now more open to introduce 'Asian' drinks/food on their shelves.
When I first tried Milkis, I was a bit confused about how it really tasted. It was like drinking sprite with a weird aftertaste of milk. I think that was really the whole idea. Though I half-heartedly finished the whole can; Milkis would be a drink I'm not inclined to drinking regularly. I like how fresh milk taste so much that I don't like alterations on it especially when it comes to it being fizzy. But if you're adventurous and stuff, you might want to try it and maybe enjoy it a bit.

Reaffirming what has been said...
Procrastination.
Lack of ideas.
Procrastination.
Lack of inspiration.
Procrastination.
Just too tired or too sleepy.
These are just the things that hinder me in updating my blog. But, I guess I do have to change after what happened with my PC (Zenith) got reformatted and downgraded to Windows XP from its Windows Vista Starter OS. Nevertheless, XP is a more stable platform compared to Vista or even 7. But, I'm not here to talk about that. I guess, one of my realizations today is that I need to be firm with what I promised before, and I think I am reaffirming it today.
No more procrastinating, no more excuses.
I promise to regularly update my blog, to exercise everyday, to eat healthier everyday, to be friendlier, to save and invest, and to be more adventurous in all things. This year is for the future me who's totally going to be awesome.
